A 23-year-old unemployed man has been charged with theft after more than £9,600 worth of gems were stolen from a Reigate store.
Timothy Hewett, of Warwick Close, Holmwood, will appear at South East Surrey Magistrates Court on Friday, 26 February, charged with theft and also theft of a motor vehicle.

Reigate & Banstead Borough Council has signed up to the national ‘10:10‘ campaign, making a public commitment to try to reduce its carbon emissions by 10 per cent during 2010.

Councillors are being asked for their views on the Government’s proposals for a central Infrastructure Planning Committee (IPC), that would take away current local planning powers to decide on large infrastructure projects in their area such as new runways, railways, roads or power stations.
